Clarets International-Alex Gets Scotland U21 Call
Alex MacDonald has been called up to the Scotland Under 21 squad by Billy Stark
The 20 year old has been named in a 21-man squad for an International Challenge Match against Northern Ireland to be played at Partick Thistle's Firhill Stadium on Wednesday, 17 November (kick-off 7.30pm).
The news delighted Alex who up until now had only represented Scotland at under 19 level
MacDonald has been making an impression recently in the Reserves scoring five goals in his last three games for the second-string including a brace in the recent 4-1 demolition of Wrexham at Turf Moor.
He has played eight times for the Clarets first team but has not featured now for the last two seasons. Last season he was loaned out to SPL club Falkirk before having to undergo hernia surgery.

Is he anywhere near the first team? Wes Fletcher and King ( I think) were both in the squad at Morecambe earlier this season. Was Mac injured? Was this to give them experience? or are these lads now considered a better better than Mac?
