Could Grant Ram Things Home?

Derby are trying to sign former goalkeeper Lee Grant on loan from Burnley according to Skysports.com

They need a replacement keeper to temporarily cover for the injured Stephen Bywater who is suffering from a wrist problem. He is expected to be out of action for a month.

Grant's agent, Gino Culbertson, has confirmed to skysports.com that Derby have an interest in Grant.

Grant has had limited opportunity in the first team this season since signing in the summer from Sheffield Wednesday. Brian Jensen is doing enough to keep him out of the side.

It is thought Grant, 27 is keen on a loan move in search of regular first-team football and could be tempted to play for a club he knows well after starting his career with the Rams.

Burnley though may be reluctant to let him leave Turf Moor unless they can find suitable cover for Brian Jensen.

It begs the question why we would release him, if we then had to search for another keeper to bring in?

Who's our emergency keeper in the starting XI these days? Duffman presumably now we haven't got SpiceBoy? So, here's a question... Edgar and Grant go out on loan, Carlisle gets suspended and Bikey isn't fit. Cort, Duff and Jensen start. Jensen and Duff collide and get stretchered off. What happens next?????

Surely someone is pulling somebody's leg here? Yeah let's send him out on loan to another Championship side and let him keep clean sheets for them, while we look for cover for Jensen, who (Mawson), I have never heard out so bloody daft...

Daftest thing I ever heard! How can you loan a player that would require you to then find a replacement potentially at short notice unless we are going to run the risk of no keeper on the bench

This is simply madness. Grants unlucky before the Millwall game where BEast was excellent I had him down to take over. Beast hadn't done alot wrong but his kicking was/is awful. Still like to see Grant between the posts.
