Edgar a Go-Go?

David Edgar looks likely to join a Championship club in a temporary deal

This would appear to be part of Brian Laws intention to seek loan moves for a number of his fringe players with Kevin McDonald being specifically mentioned of late.

Laws said: 'We've got to consider everything. David's been part of the squad and the team, and we've been pleased with his progress particularly in the summer.

'We've been working on him, not just defensively but also in a midfield role. We want to diversify and look at other areas with him.

'But there are a number of players that need to get out on loan to get games.

'While we boast a very strong squad and a competitive squad, to keep that competitive edge they need to be playing.'

Hope we are not leaving ourselves short, Edgar strikes me as a useful utility player to have available in case of emergencies. He can play anywhere across back four and in holding midfield but I guess if he aint getting any action in first team, it's best to loan him out

Edgar too would appear to relish a loan.Says in LT:Edgar said: “I have to start playing games. “Whether that’s at Burnley or out on loan somewhere, that’s what I’ve got to do.”

Yep understand the logic but for me i would like him on the bench instead of Alexander, grezza his getting to the end of his career so why not get him coaching staff and keep Edgar within the squad.
Fedupclaret
Like Fedup's logic. I think Alexander knows he's coming to the end so let's get him concentrating on the younger members of the club. If Edgar does end up on loan, I hope there'll be a clause in the contract to prevent him from playing against us! Also one for his immediate return if we need him.

This is a strange one, I would like to see him play in Greeza's role
Totally_Claret
They seem to have targeted Cork as the one to replace Grezza in holding midfield but if they can find an attacking midfield role for Cork and put Edgar in as holding midfield that could work?
