Vital Burnley Prediction League Update-September

Vital Burnley Prediction League Update-September

We are now 10 games into the season and the the league tables are starting to take shape. The Clarets currently sit in a satisfactory sixth position and we can hopefully push on further over the next 10 games. The second published Vital Burnley Prediction League table of the season, taking into account our results from the September matches is provided below:

So then how happy are you with your early season position? Let us know below this article.

I commented in the last article that only 3 people were yet to predict an incorrect result namely RickerTwickers, TMP and Myself (Dale).

Well, from the next six predictions, TMP was incorrect 3 times, RT 4 and Dale an impressive 5! Just Great! As it happens, Most people seemed to struggle over the latest batch of games and probably for a variety of reasons. In all, this has meant that the three of us maintain our position in the higher reaches of the table.

Barnsey was the biggest mover of this month, he managed to obtain 5 points and moves himself up into second.

Last seasons champion, Bigclaret is still struggling to get going. His faith in Mr Laws is now fluctuating somewhat after various results and performances with this leading to some inconsistent predictions!Unfortunately these still returned him a value of Nil for this month.

The next update will be published during November. Hope you continue to predict and any newcomers are also welcome. You can still easily catch up those at the top!

As per previously, please check your score and if you feel there has been an error, contact me either below this article or via the Vital inbox.

Good Luck with your next batch of predictions!

Obviously the 'cant predict a defeat' mentality works better for me in the Championship than the Prem! :-). Palsdad deserves a mention too

Yes I think your right Phil - yes Palsdad does deserve a mention for his points haul this month.

I can confirm that RickerTwickers is, in fact, me. Like most pundits I struggled a bit last month and will have to start picking up points again as the pack is closing. I see World Champion CP has made an inauspicious start to proceedings. Hopefully his recent spell away has given him time to gather his thoughts ahead of the next few fixtures.

I note that the average height of the top three is over 6 foot... Is this realisation what RT meant by 'gathering thoughts' while away? I have also noted on German TV that the big stars from their WC team at Bayern have made a bad start, whilst little Mainz have equalled the Bundesliga record for starting the season with 7 straight wins. Given my rather basic German, it may have been that the pundits were actually talking about the weather. But I choose to believe this fairytale story, as it gives hope to all of us under 5'9" everywhere.

At least we have a few big men up front though I note that Big Claret, as Dale points out, is also struggling to get going. However, still plenty of time for those of us of increased stature to be chopped down to size.
