The Clarets of course have no match this weekend due to the International break so what can avid football fans do to overcome their withdrawel symptoms?
Well Bury Football Club may have the answer with a special offer on the table if you are a Burnley FC Season Ticker Holder. We provide details below from Laura Sherratt, Marketing Manager at Bury Football Club:
Promotion chasing League 2 side, Bury Football Club, have this week launched an incredible offer aimed specifically at season ticket holders from other clubs throughout the UK for the forthcoming International Weekend.
For Bury FC`s forthcoming Fixture against fellow promotion chasers and local rivals Accrington Stanley (9 October 2010) season ticket holders from any premiership and football league club in the UK, can on production of their season ticket at the turnstile, gain entry for just £5 (excluding the two participating clubs).
Although the financial benefit for Bury FC will be negligible, Commercial Director Mark Catlin expressed his view that football generally needs to be offering more for its customers to combat the effect of the recession hitting not just football, but businesses generally throughout the UK.
We are inundated with letters and emails at the club, which gives us a fantastic insight into how fans generally now see football in this country. You often hear the saying 'the football family' and that is exactly what we are, fans and clubs, part of a general football family, and we all have to work together to ensure a prosperous future for football in the UK.
The club has already had positive feedback from other clubs regarding this offer and we hope this is justified by a big turnout on Saturday which is the international weekend (so for premier league and championships clubs there will be no fixture this weekend) . Bury is surrounded by so many clubs, we even have 8 Premiership clubs well within a 30 mile radius, and whilst Premiership football is a great spectacle, this fixture clashes with none of them, and as such we are hoping not only for an increased attendance, but a chance for us to give extra 'value add' to season ticket holders of other clubs.
Our hope is that in the future clubs reciprocate by giving our season ticket holders the chance of going to other games for a similar price, and this is already being discussed.'
BURY VERSUS ACCRINGTON STANLEY SATURDAY 9 OCTOBER 2010, K.O. 3.00PM !
Bury FC are inviting season ticket holders from other clubs (excluding the two participating clubs) to watch this fixture for JUST £5 with the production of a valid season ticket on entry at the following turnstiles:-
East Stand - Turnstile 4
Main Stand - Turnstile 13
