Clarets International-Bikey & Edgar Get Call-Ups

Canada play a friendly against Ukraine in Kiev on Friday 8th October and there is good news for our back four utility player, David Edgar.

He has been called up to the Canadian squad and if he plays he will be making his International debut for the national first team. His only international honours to date were for the Canadian Under 20s. Edgar, now 23 played 24 times for the Under 20s between 2003-2008 and even managed to score a couple of goals!

Andre Bikey is another Clarets player selected for International duty. Cameroon have added him to the squad in preparation for their African Cup of Nations qualifier to be played on home soil against DR Congo on Saturday 9th October.

Well done lads, come back safe and sound, injury and suspension free!

Edgar must be particularly chuffed. Think he was called up once for a Wolrd Cup qualifier against Jamaica but did not feature

Agree with most of your last sentence Phil - Come back safe, sound & injury free - dont mind to much if they get suspended :-) ( selfish I know).

I dont want Bikey involved in the African Cup of Nations the team needs him.
