Burnley X-Files: Jordan rejects Cotts for Blades

Former Clarets left back Stephen Jordan has decided not to join Portsmouth as expected and now looks set to sign for Championship rivals, Sheffield United and make his debut for the Blades in their opening game of the season against Cardiff City on Sunday.

Jordan who was released by Brian Laws in the summer was offered a contract at Pompey by former Clarets gaffer, Steve Cotterill after being involved in their pre-season build-up. It was Cotterill who signed Jordan for the Clarets in July 2007 after he was released by Manchester City.

Bit of a surprise!

That's a good scoop as no one else is carrying it; well done mate!

Should still be a Burnley player i know some of the Burnley fans did not like him but i thought he was a decent player for the Championship.
Fedupclaret
You cannot blame him, stay up north and Sheffield Utd are a lot more stable a club than Pompy, good luck Stephen except against us...

On his day Jordan was a great player but he didn't have enough of them for my liking,
Totally_Claret
Probably agree with Totally. Please when we signed him, disapointed with him in season 1, preferred Kalvenese season 2, but thought he did OK in the Prem. Probably a better CB than LB for me!
