We now have less than a week to go until the season starts, and details for our 2010/11 Vital Prediction League competition are provided below
To keep things simple, scoring will be as per last season`s Premier League and the World Cup Predicion League which we operated during the summer.
For those unfamiliar with the scoring system, this is as follows:
Correct Scoreline - 3 points (You predict Burnley Win 3-0, Burnley Win 3-0)
Correct Result + GD - 2 points (You Predict Burnley Win 3-0, Burnley win 4-1)
Correct Result - 1 point (You Predict Burnley win 3-0, Burnley win 2-0)
Incorrect - 0 points (You Predict Burnley win 3-0, Burnley lose)
Their will once again be prizes for the top three at the end of the season as follows:
£50 for coming top
£25 for coming second
£10 for coming third
Please note you can join the competition at any point during the season but you will only be entitled to any winnings if you play a minimum of 50% of our League fixtures in the Championship. We will be offering predictions for our cup games too but the results will only be taken into account if we have a tie for the top three places at the end of the season.
Can BigClaret retain his title? Can Couch Potato repeat his World Cup success with a victory in the 2010/11 campaign? Or will it be someone who has yet to enter either of our previous competitions? We shall see!
One thing we must all hope, is that those who refuse to predict a Burnley defeat have a better season than they did last!
Any queries please get in touch.
Good Luck to all!
Dale
