Vital Burnley World Cup Prediction League-Update

Vital Burnley World Cup Prediction League-Update

Claret Dale provides an update on the current World Cup Prediction League table following completion of the games involving England's group.

-------------------------------------------------

With England finally into the last 16, we can now publish the first update from the World Cup Prediction League.

The table looks like this at the moment:

Couch Potato leads the way after securing 5 predictions out of 6 to the correct team. Well Done CP!

We have decided also with a £50 first prize at stake that we will allow new entrants into the competition even at this late stage. It would still be possible to overtake the current leaders by the end of the World Cup even if you have predicted fewer games and came into the competition late.

With 3 points available per game and 8 games potentially left to play there is still time for a newcomer to win a prize!!!! If you want to play simply sign-up below this thread

The last sixteen games are now being put up in the forum including the biggy England v Germany match on Sunday. So let's get those predictions in! (Editor's Note: Nobody is allowed to predict an England defeat to the Germans!!)

As per normal, please check your allocated points and let me know if you feel there is an error! I currently feel as tired as those tennis lads looked after that marathon match!

CD - as I understand it, it's the result at the end of regular time that counts? Well done VR, if so, with the correct score. But it would mean another 2 points for the league leader!
