Rumour Mill-Blake in Heart to Hearts Talk!

Hearts chief Jim Jeffries hopes to capture Robbie Blake by offering him a two-year contract despite interest from Premier League and Championship clubs.

It is understood that Blake would prefer to ply his trade in England after rejecting Burnley's offer of a new one year contract (with another one year option) in the summer so the SPL club could have a hard task convincing Robbie to move North of the Border.

According to Alan Nixon in the Mirror though Blake is in talks with the Edinburgh club this week.

Wonder if he turned down Blackpool?

Nixon's story says Blake has had offers in England but doesn't say they are from PL clubs. It adds that Blake would prefer an English PL offer. Well, wouldn't we all? Last I heard from Blackpool, they were still negotiating with Olly for the manager position, and he'd turned their first offer down. Anyone know if they've signed any players yet?

I would be sorry to see Robbie go, he has been a big influence in our successes. Whatever he does I wish him all the best.
