The Vital Burnley Prediction League Finale

By Sunday night following our last match of the 2009-10 season against Spurs at Turf Moor we will know the winners of the Vital Burnley Prediction League.

The winner will receive £50, second place £25 and third place £10.

We provide a brief update therefore as we approach the final game of the season.

It is still incredibly tight at the summit of the prediction league with 4 players still in with a chance of winning the top prize.

The top of the table currently stands as follows:

Big Claret 33 points

Barnsey 32 points

Crosspool 31 points

Grimsby 31 points

It has been suggested that those still in with a shout of winning the top prize, send me a vital message to avoid any tactical voting (There is £50 at stake!)

Predictions received via the forum or via a private message to myself will both be accepted.

A full prediction table will be published after the Tottenham game.

Good Luck to all!

Dale

Aye good luck to those in with a chance of getting the dosh and thank you to everybody this season who played in the competition. We will have a new one in 2010-11 and we will also be having one for the World Cup. Details will be announced soon

Sorry its not a full table people - Have felt like the crap over the last couple of days.

I see that BigClaret was one of the last to post on the Birmingham game and chose the same score as me, so you're right Dale, I missed a trick on that one! Still, as you know my tactics are entirely employed to get Burnley to win by predicting defeats, rather than trying to win 50 quid, which I'll happily give to Big who has done better by genuinely predicting results instead of being a doommonger like me !!! :-)
CrosspoolClarets
I think I am right in saying, subject to Dale confirming this that folk can change their mind! ;-)
turfmanphil
Yes - The final prediction i receive will be the one that I take.
Claretdale
4 in with a shout then, good luck chaps although one will be disappointed.

The Prediction League has been great fun this season. Well done to the front-runners and good luck to all of them on Sunday. Thanks to everyone who has helped put this together, particularly Dale, Phil and 8c8 - hopefully we'll have a similar compo next season.

I just wish I had taken it serious.....some of my predictions should have had me sectioned.......nurse!!!!

Nothing to do with me RT but I like the sentiment ;-) you will get your chance before next season with the World Cup Prediction League, which I am looking forward too, I stand a better chance as predicting Burnley is to well how shall I put it unpredictable....

Dale if you haven't done so already might be worth emailing those in with a chance of finishing in Top 3 to explain that you are offering a chance to change their mind privately by emailing you with new predictions before 4pm Sunday in order to avoid tactical voting
turfmanphil
Tactical voting? I'm not sure I'd know how! Anywho... in accordance with the the rules and regulations of The Vital Burnley Prediction League - chapter 7 paragraph 3 ammendment 32 word 4 "the", I shall now email my prediction to Dale.
