Sky Sports Mess Up Another Fixture (Brum)

Sky Sports have now decided they want to cover our game against Birmingham live at St Andrews on 1st May 2010!

Hopefully they have decided to do this because they think the Clarets will still have a chance of avoiding the drop by then. Brum afterall are simply heading for midtable mediocrity with their season effectively over other than playing for pride. Mind you I would love midtable mediocrity at this level.

The news though means that we will now kick off earlier at 12:45 pm instead of 3pm.

Oh joy! Thanks a bundle!

I suppose this means more dosh for the club but it is a bloody bind for those wanting a decent drink before the match and /or having to travel some distance. This TV bollox is something I definitely wont miss if we fail to survive the drop

At least it is still on Saturday, Will you be travelling from your place tmp or via Burnley?

Going direct to this one 8c8 via train from Huntingdon,Cambs

No problem for me, as I will be on the short train ride from my sister's in Belper. Maybe SKY want to do a feature on how great Bfc away fans have been? Or are hoping to catch us either crying or still dreaming? For sure, the cameras will be on us the fans, even if - god and laws forbid - we are out of it by then.

I'm working this weekend so it won't affect me, other than not catching the second half in the pub. Another day of recording the match and hoping I don't hear the result, which is difficult when everyone knows who I support.

Damn - just means I will have to set off earlier, and all beers consumed will now be after the game. Ah well. Might take the train :)

Having booked my train tickets last night - and sorted out a nice first-class return cheaper than standard rates - I will now need to get back to the drawing board !!

Was a little frustrated at first - but this could work out quite well and will just spend longer drinking in Brum after the game.
