Which of Our Players Does Coyle Not Actually Want?

Do you think Burnley FC could get a gagging order for the media who continually seem to speculate about our players moving to Bolton in the summer to be reunited with Susan'Judas'Boyle?

The sloppy journalists working for the 'Red Tops' in particular are having a field day linking Burnley players with a move to the Reebok in the summer but now even our local press are at it.

The media speculation really is becoming a 'Boyle on the Bum' at the moment

There is no doubt that Owen Coyle would like to come a poaching in the summer and there is probably a high chance that some of the players would relish the prospect of playing for their former gaffer again, especially if Bolton stay up and the Clarets go down! But with four games still to play and the Clarets only five points behind the club from Horwich anything could still happen.

Coyle has been linked with a move for Tyrone Mears, Kevin McDonald,Steven Fletcher, Clarke Carlisle, Stephen Jordan and even Brian Jensen so far. The latest is now Wade Elliott if the Lancashire Telegraph is to be believed!





Sigh! Oh well at least Kalvenes has folied the master in the battle to avoid having to play at the Reebok. 'Stuff that I am off to Norway!' he reportedly told Alan Nixon. Guess that must be a case of 'Foil's War' or is it 'Coyle's War'?

Is nobody in our squad safe from the dreaded Bolton link in the media? Hell we still have four weeks of the season left and the close season for this sloppy journalism to continue. What do they do each week draw a Burnley player out of the hat for the 'Joining Coyle' treatment?

Paul Fletcher though appears to be coming to our rescue and is quoted in the Lancashire Telegraph as follows:

"It`s part and parcel of Burnley as a club. People will think we are rich pickings for the wealthy teams but we intend to keep hold of our best players whether we are in the Premier League or Championship," he said.

"We`ve got four games to go and we`ve still a reasonable chance of staying up."

Oh well, just another incentive to try and avoid the drop. It would certainly be interesting if we managed to stay up. I would love it if Brian Laws was the one knocking on Coyle's door instead! Up the Clarets!
