Vital Burnley Prediction League-An Update

With just 5 games now remaining, the updated prediction league is provided below up to and including the Manchester City game.

Worryingly three predictions were all within a goal of the correct result in that shocker of a 6-1 defeat at home to City!

Predictions received by email from VinRogue before the West Ham and Fulham games and verified as acceptable have now been updated in the table.

Big Claret remains in pole position with only 2 of his 8 predictions not scoring any points. It seems that his ' less than impressed` attitude (to be kind) since the change of manager has paid off with his pessimistic predictions being largely accurate.

A special mention should go to Brompton who, despite a late start, has climbed superbly up the table and is not far behind many who have predicted twice the number of games.

With 5 games remaining, it looks like a 4-way battle to win the Prediction League Prize. Can Big Claret hold his nerve or can Grimsby pip one of the Sheffield boys to the title? 5 weeks from now we shall know!

As always please check your scores and if you think they are inaccurate please let me know.

Don't forget the winner gets 50, second 25 and third 10! I started the season all optimistic and could't bring myself to forecast a defeat, now I can't bring myself to forecast a win,I am so brassed off! Looks like a pessimistic realist is going to win!! ;-)

Could get interesting. With our current form, we could see the majority of people all predicting defeats - If these come true it will be a very tight finish.

Can I ask where the 2nd game I have "missed" has come from, as I have either spoken to you, Dale, or put them on here before each match. Advice, please?!

Barnsey - The game I havent scored you for was Wigan. I think I remember you predicting a 2-1 victory in the car before the game, but as i wasnt certain and this didnt impact on the points - I didnt include it.

At the start I said that someone predicting a 3-1 defeat in every game could well take it all. Would they have done?

I will have to go with my head not my heart for our remaining games but then again we are due a win away and at home for that matter.

In answer to your question CP, If someone had predicted a 3-1 defeat in every game they would currently be sat joint top with 30 points. 2 x 3 point hauls,5 x 2 points and the remainder in 1 points. They would be getting a pretty regular return at the moment!

Dale and Couch, he is currently working it out but I don't think it will cost you too much to move to Horwich.......he should be able to let you know how much you owe once the administrators have sorted out your points deductions for leaving.......nurse!
