'If It's Football, It's Vital'

By Eck Some Good News for Richard

Richard Eckersley'a ankle injury is not as bad as first feared and he could soon be returning to Plymouth to complete his loan spell.

Eckersley joined Plymouth on a one-month loan earlier this month

The right back limped off in Plymouth's 2-1 defeat away to Scunthorpe United last Saturday and returned to Turf Moor on crutches for medical assessment. There were fears he might have been out of action for four weeks.

Pilgrims gaffer Paul Mariner speaking about the latest situation said:

'When he went for the X-ray the ankle was badly swollen, so the physios couldn't really assess him until it went down.

'We are hoping he might be able to train at the back end of next week.

'It's probably pushing it for a week tomorrow (when Argyle are away to Doncaster Rovers), but you never know.'

Hey VR, that's a bit 'gingerist' or whatever these politically correct people call it these days. Made me smile though , b******s to the pc people anyway, within reason of course. With you all the way 8clarets8.
