Thought that might happen! Laws seems happy and confident about the outcome though. We shall have to see

Interesting - Still dont see how this happens. if they say a high figure, we might not want him for that much. If you were buying anything, their would only be a certain amount you would be willing to pay - surely?

I think the decision is binding and Burnley have to pay whatever figure they come up with. I guess if it's considered far too much they have the option to sell the player but guess it depends how the contract is written. Dragging on this now, I am losing the will to live!! ;-)

AC- MU didn't want him to leave. He came to us because he was a free agent and we made an offer (a Bosman). But because he's young and MU have spent a number of years nurturing him, there are rules that kick in (designed to prevent big clubs poaching players from little one) that require us to pay something, or go to tribunal if we cannot agree a fee with MU. We knew the rules. We got ourselves into this.

Agree CP - we got ourselves into this. But we could end up paying say 500k for him, but he isnt worth that and we can only get 200k when we sell him ( made up figures obviously). it just seems a peculiar way of doing things. As per AC, how do you know if you want to/can afford to buy something/one if you dont know the price!

Eckersley and Easton players for the future bought by the last manager as players for now! Or just players wages so he couldn't afford to buy a tmp rated player!!!!! lol

Thats a good point GC, I think he only played 2 first team games for Man U as well! 3 starts in the 2 CC/IFAC games for us and just two unused sub appearances in Prem is hardly going to suggest he is worth 500,000 let alone 1million
