Reserved Liverpool TV for Clarets

If you have Sky or Virgin Media TV you will able to watch our Reserves team play tonight in the Barclays Premier Reserve League. (Tuesday 16th February @7pm Kick-Off but will be shown 10:30pm)

The second-string Clarets will be playing Liverpool Reserves in our scheduled home match at Accrington Stanley's Crown Ground.

Liverpool FC have the luxury of their own free channel (Liverpool TV) which is available on both Sky (Channel 434) and Virgin Media (Channel 544).The programme you need to watch tonight from 10:30pm is called 'Reds in Reserve'

The same TV channel featured our earlier Reserves clash in the away fixture last year when we played them at Prenton Park. The match was memorable for two things. Owen Coyle decided to play and was hopeless whilst he also gave young keeper, Jonathan Lund his Clarets debut.

The Clarets played well that night and held Liverpool until the dying moments of the game before the Reds got a late goal to win 1-0.

The weather has affected the Reserves fixtures something rotten this season and this will be only our second home game having played just another seven on the road.

We are currently in 4th position just one place behind Liverpool with two games in hand although they do have a nine-point advantage.

Hopefully this time the game will go ahead without any effects from bad weather and it will be an ideal opportunity for exiled Clarets or those not going to the match to have a rare glimpse of some of our young up-and-coming players and those on the fringes of the first team.

Sky Plus set to record! Enjoyed this last time when we played them at Tranmere's ground! Will be good to see how some of the fringe players play as well as those coming up through the ranks

Gudjonsson could be named in the line-up for Burnley Reserves’ home game against Liverpool Reserves tonight (kick-off 7pm). Midfielder Chris McCann is due to play 45 minutes at Accrington Stanley’s Crown Ground to boost his chances of featuring at Villa Park this weekend. Graham Alexander will not be involved tonight, as he continues his recovery from the calf strain he suffered against Bolton Wanderers last month, but Laws revealed he could come into contention at the weekend if he comes through a full week of training.

Didnt Coyle partner one of the young lads up top - Maybe Wes Fletcher? I remember them making quite a big deal out of it on SSN.
Claretdale
Yep,he did on the pretence he was mentoring the young lad and showing him how to score! Only problem was Fletcher ( I think it was him) played ten times better than Coyle anyway. Wonder if we still have Coyle registered as a player? ;-)
