New Stoke Match Date at Turf Moor Announced

Our scheduled match against Stoke City at Turf Moor last Saturday was postponed due to safety concerns regarding the snow and ice around the ground.

The club have now announced a rearranged date for this fixture which has now been confirmed as Tuesday 9th March (Kick-Off 7:45pm).

This will come at a hectic time for the Clarets. They are scheduled to play Arsenal at the Emirates three days earlier on Saturday 6th March although that could be changed depending on progress in the FA Cup.

The 6th Round of the FA Cup is scheduled to be played over that weekend so if Burnley are out of the competition by then and Arsenal are still in it we wont have a game on the Saturday. On the other hand we might still be in the FA Cup and will be playing elsewhere instead.

The Saturday after the Stoke game, four days later we face Wolves in a vital six-pointer at Turf Moor so in theory we could have three games in seven days to play.

The club have also reminded fans that any Stoke tickets purchased for this match for the original date will remain valid

Oh well another night match I am going to have to sort out. Still think it will be better playing this one later rather than last Saturday when we were in the midst of a managerial crisis. To think we would have had those rats,Davis and Hughes in charge who one day later would have been jumping ship!

Wonder if Sky might suddenly choose to show this one ? Guess the Champions League might have re-started by then so an outside chance I suppose.
