Burnley Web joins Vital Burnley in Partnership

Vital Burnley is delighted to announce that we have gone into partnership with 'Burnley Web' a website that discusses all aspects of life in the town we all love.

We therefore welcome Neal Party editor of 'Burnley Web' to Vital Burnley.

Many Clarets fans as well as supporting the lads will also be interested to know what else is going on locally in Burnley and surrounding areas. Well you can now find out by visiting 'Burnley Web' via the links that Neal will be providing in our new forum.

Some of the key stories about our town will be summarised in our new forum called 'Taste of the Town' with links back to Burnley Web for the full story and discussion threads.

The partnership will also work both ways with Neal agreeing to put links back to Vital Burnley in his local sports section. This way we believe both sites will grow without competing for the same type of hits.

If you want to sample our new forum here is the link:

The Burnley Web website itself can be found by going to this link:

Please help support 'Burnley Web' in whatever way you can, it's a great site.

Yeah this is a great idea. Being an exiled Claret (Nelson boy) here in Kent since 1974 it will be good to keep up with local matters 'up north'.

Happy with that too. BC I am also an exiled Claret since 1975 (Nelson Boy) in Lincolnshire. Beaufort St, Marsden Juniors and Edge End.

I wonder what percentage of the visitors to this site still live within the Burnley area? Perhaps that could be a new poll? How long is it since you lived in Burnley? Still do? 5 years? 10 years? 20 years? Never?

just in case turfmanphil misses that suggestion, don't forget in the right hand column under the video player there is a 'suggest a poll' button.

Might the question be 'how long since your family lived in the burnley area'?

Be interesting to know a bit more about the town of Burnley. I am actually a proud Yorkshire lad, but my godfather (who is from Burnley) started taking me to Burnley from about the age of 5 or 6 and the love affair was born. You can't help what you love!

Agree skutter - Never lived anywhere near Burnley myself but my Dad is a claret and . .

My grandad lived there from 1920 till about 1924. Good year to get the Claret bug 1920!

We moved there when I was 10 in 1975 and I stayed there until I left for university in 1983. My mum, who was born in Burnley, worked as a teacher there until retiring a couple of years ago and still lives in the area.

Most people know my history, born & bred Rossendale, hardly missed an home game mid 60s to 1976. Uni then job in Brentford beckoned so embraked on 'wilderness years' down South until 2004 when rediscovered the passion of going to games (Clarets always in my heart of course).Mum still lives in Waterfoot [Edited by turfmanphil]
