Latest Prediction League Table up to End 2009

Latest Prediction League Table up to End 2009

Well we delayed publishing our latest Prediction League table whilst we all waited to hear the future of our now disgraced former manager, Owen Coyle.

Since he has now jumped ship for Bolton, this seems as good a time as any to provide an updated table. It will also give us something to digest today with no match to go to following the postponement of the Stoke match at Turf Moor.

So here is the latest table summarising all League games played this season up to the end of 2009.

Claret Dale now takes up the story and reviews the current standings:

We have a new leader with Big Claret removing Programme Collector from top spot. This may have something to do with Programme Collector missing 75% of the predictions rather than the talent of Big Claret. That being said, 8 points are not a bad return for the month - Well done Sir!

I would also like to ensure visitors to the site that there is no funny business taking place with three members of the Sheffield Clarets currently occupying the top 3 positions. This is purely coincidence and if their predictions of last season are anything to go by, the lofty position will not last. This however does not apply to Crosspool who, as previously mentioned, will win this league the more we struggle in our battle for survival.

As previously, If you have any queries - please email Phil or myself.

Bit worried about programme collector, he has not been seen on the site in sometime.Hope he's OK,might send him an email and find out the crack. What am I doing in the top 10? I haven't predicted a defeat yet!! :-)

Can't believe I have got 6 correct and am languishing at the bottom of the table lol. I can only see one way for me given that for the first half of the season I predicted them all to be wins for the clarets and now I am doing the reverse...simples I am useless at this!

Very unhappy with my own performance and still considering sacking myself or even approaching someone else to make my decisions. For now, I am concentrating on the job in hand and focussing on my next prediction away at Old Trafford.

:-) As always - Please check your results and if you think they are incorrect - let me know.

I see Barnsey has shot up the table and think I am right in saying that this has involved him in predicting defeats, for example at Ewood. I hope we won't now be hearing Coyle say at a future press conference that he was undermined by negative comments in the local media. :) Meanhwile I remain ahead of VR and RT. :) :)

How do you join in with this?
09/01/2010 15:42:00
Er, I seem to have missed one game compared to other people...can you tell me which this was, as I am pretty sure I predicted for all, Dale, cheers! By the way - I have catapulted up the table! :-)

CC2 not sure really but down the Forum Page thingy is a Prediction Thread have a click in there and we just post our predicted score. ClaretDale is the main man on this and will no doubt point you in the right direction, i am sure you will be able to join in, maybe you will not be aloud to win the huge cash prize as that is earmarked for Sheffield....tic lol...only joking lads....good luck. Plus your predictions say a lot about warned I have predicted 18 straight wins for the Clarets and now I have turned my season around!!!!!

You definitely missed one Barssey, because I remember thinking I wonder why he didn't post a prediction. Will have to check back to check which one it was if Dale hasn't got the answer to hand
