Bolton have confirmed Coyle is now their manager and that he has signed a two-and-a-half year contract. The Offiical Clarets website have also stated that Burnley Football Club and Bolton Wanderers Football Club have agreed terms on a compensation package for Owen Coyle but do not give any details.

Coyle will take charge of the Trotters for the first time when Arsenal arrive at the Reebok on 17th January and I hope the Gunners absolutely stuff them.Good riddance to bad rubbish and thanks for nothing. You have broken all our hearts you miserable sneak!

They believe the compo to be about £3m. Looks like we "won".

Also on and on official bfc site where there's a stirring and spot-on message from Grezza. A chapter is closed. A new one begins. Come on!

Two and a half years compared to a four year contract, just shows how much confidence they have in him then

Phil the photo is ace, I am tempted to give it a 9 out of 10, but am deducting one for reasons that I will not disclose unless Nixon asks me.....

A two and a half year contract thats less security than he had at Burnley where he had a 4 year contract. Barry Killby would not let them get away with 1 million, Its a settlement between Clubs not in court so I should think 3 Million + is more like it.

2.5 years is a rubbish deal, really. Wonder if he'll last that long?

2.5 years. Coyle is just confirming what I've (ahem) beeen saying on here that he hasn't stuck at anything else for a long time.

As per a text I just received from Barnsey - It is now time to move on. All our efforts now need to be concentrated on finding ( the board) and then backing ( the board + fans) the new man to ensure we retain our premiership status!
