Just the Ticket- The Rovers Return Plan

Burnley FC have provided Vital Burnley with some information regarding their ticketing plans for our home game against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday 27th March.

This of course is one game most Clarest fans will be desperate to get a ticket for and if you are not a season ticket holder you need to start planning now and follow the club's advice below.

The following club announcement has been received which we publish in its entirity

Burnley v Blackburn Rovers-Club Announcement

Ahead of the Burnley v Blackburn Rovers Premier League game at Turf Moor in March 2010, we are working to ensure that only home supporters are able to purchase tickets for the respective areas.

In order to help us do this, certain games will be used to determine eligibility for this fixture, beginning with the home game v Stoke City at Turf Moor on Saturday, January 9, 2010.

This will establish a sales priority, to enable us to reward supporters` loyalty based on certain home games attended this season.

The following sales criteria will therefore apply when tickets for the Burnley v Blackburn Rovers game go on sale:

Members* who have attended all 3 specified fixtures (next two to be advised).

Members* who have attended 2 out of the 3 specified fixtures. (Subject to availability)

Members* who have attended 1 out of the 3 specified fixtures. (Subject to availability)

All members* (Subject to availability)

*Members refers to supporters who have purchased the Ticketing Membership priced at £20 before December 8, 2009.

The second and third games in this qualifying period will be announced in due course.

Burnley v Stoke City

Please note - Members who purchase a ticket for this game will receive a priority for the home game against Blackburn Rovers.

I will put my hat in the ring, when I read this I was over the moon. I think this is an excellent ticketing initiative for the game. Has been done in a similar fashion in the past by England for home games where you were able to buy 3 group games of which one was for example Italy and the other two Moldova or similar. Proves the computer system can handle a zag.

Just glad I got a season ticket but yes fair scheme once you have read it ten times and can understand it!

Thank gawd I'm a season ticket holder still don't understand it and have read 3 times!! maybe need to do the 10 as TMP suggests

Go to 3 home games of the clubs choice with your clarets number as their record, starting with Stoke and that will get you at the front of the queue for a ticket on 27th. They will pick less attractive games that mean you are more likely to be a supporter not just a 27th ticket glory hunter. I have my season ticket so unaffected by it too.
