We can announce that the winner of our first quiz and soon to be proud owner of 'The Burnley FC Miscellany' is:

Claret Dale

He achieved a fantastic 29 points with nine fastest correct questions.

Grimsby Claret came a creditable second with 23 points and three fastest correct questions.

Rickers Twickers in third with 19 points also with three fastest correct questions might have been pushing the leaders had he not been a little late and missed a handful of questions.

Couch Potato in 4th on 18 points with three fastest correct questions also missed out on a few questions.

Vin Rogue recovered well on the second night to get three fastest correct questions but could only finish on 16 points.

8clarets8 faded towards the end but managed to get two fastest correct questions at both the beginning and end of the second night to finish on 14 points.

Thanks to all our players for entering into the spirit of the quiz and congratulations once again to the winner, Claret Dale.

Watch out for news of our next two competitions when another Wiseman book will be on offer as the prize.

Greatly enoyed the last two nights as we experimented to find the right format. Glad it all worked out in the end and that folk seemed to enjoy themselves
turfmanphil
Which night did best for 'hit the site, help the club'? What does constitute a 'hit' in that context?
Couch Potato
Basically each time you visit a page or refresh a page it will add one hit. I cant break down the stats between nights but I would think the first night would have had most hits because we were refreshing like crazy at 1 question/go before we changed to the less frantic 5 questions/block
turfmanphil
Woe is me last again! Well done Dale don't forget to lend me the book before the the next comp ;-)
8clarets8
Is our Champ Dale alowed to enter next time or will he be subject to some kind of TMP -icap ?
RickersTwickers
I think of something to keep everybody happy if they want to play!! ;-)
turfmanphil
very enjoyable - We can sort something out. The addition of the book should now see a regular quiz page in WTBM - I suggest a regular purchase of the fanzine ( for those who dont already) to help get you in shape for the next quiz :-)
Claretdale
tmp - can you change the headline to 'Claretdale is Wise A*se of...'
Couch Potato
Sorry I missed you at West Ham Dale, but probably just as well since I forgot to bring the book with me!! ;-) Suggest I get the book to you at next home game against Fulham if thats OK?
turfmanphil
yeah thats fine Phil - We can sort it then ( or at Pompey) - i dont mind.
Claretdale
