Clarets International-Caldwell & Fletcher Get Call

Clarets skipper Steven Caldwell and striker Steven Fletcher have both been called up by George Burley for the Scotland squad.

The Scots have a friendly against Wales during the international break on Saturday 14th November. The match will be played at the Cardiff City Stadium, with kick off at 3pm.

Caldwell has missed the last three international fixtures for Scotland after he picked up a groin injury in their game against Norway in Oslo back in August.

The captain now recovered from his injury has played the last four games for the Clarets and Owen Coyle is delighted that he has again been selected for his country:

"As we know the skipper got injured when he was away in Norway and we missed him for six weeks or so.But he has come back and he`s been outstanding for me from day one as a captain and we are absolutely thrilled he`s back in the squad."

Clarets defender and holding midfielder Graham Alexander though has not been included in the squad.

Oh well Coyle seems relaxed about it, but he might not if one of 'em gets injured. Good luck to both though

Risking key players in "friendlies" worries me. You can always be sure that some one on the opposing side has a point to prove. Good for them to be honoured, though.

Totally agree JJ as it is only a friendly I would of preferred for them not to be selected.
