Clarets International-Them on Duty!

There will be yet another International break after our game against Manchester City at Easlands this Saturday.

Three of our players could be on international duty.

There is a crucial World Cup Qualifier in a African Group A match on Saturday 14th November when current leaders,Cameroon play their final group game against bottom club Morocco in Fes (Kick-off 3:30pm)

A win for the Indomitable Lions in Morooco will ensure qualification for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa.

Andre Bikey,Burnley's central defender, recently converted to midfield by Owen Coyle, has been called-up to the Cameroon squad for this match and could play.

Bikey was an unused substitute in Cameroon's last World Cup qualifying game against Togo last month but did later play for the whole of the match in a friendly against Angola in Portugal.

Also on Saturday 14th November, the Scottish Under 21 side have a European Under 21 Championship qualifying game away to Azerbaijan in Baku (Kick Off 7:00pm) and both Kevin McDonald and Brian Easton have been named in the squad.

Billy Stark has not recently played defender, Brian Easton although he has been named on the bench for their last two games so might get the chance to feature at some point against struggling Azerbaijan.McDonald though has played in all four of the Scotland U21 qualifying games so far and the side are currently joint top in the Group 10 table with three wins out of four. Austria and Belarus are sharing the top spot with Scotland with all on nine points from four games

The Scots should maintain that momentum against Azerbaijan who are currently propping up the table and have lost all three of their opening games so far.

The Scotland big boys also have a game on Saturday 14th November when they face Wales in a Nationwide Friendly International. The match will be played at the Cardiff City Stadium, with kick off at 3pm.

There is no news yet of George Burley's squad for that clash so we wait to hear whether Steven Fletcher, Graham Alexander and Steven Caldwell could be in contention

I would hope we wouldn't unduly risk the Scots lads against Wales in what after all is just a friendly but good luck to all of them. Here's hoping for a safe return, injury and suspension free!

Oh fed up with international breaks. Premiership far more important lol!. As you say TMP good luck to all and a safe injury and suspension free return.

Is it me or do these breaks seem to be every other week! the price of being back in the big-time i guess! good luck lads.

We are having more breaks than a Kit Kat, hope Bikey has a salad break and sheds a few pounds. Happy for Burley to forget Burnley as I don't want any of the three playing against Wales and risking injury. Selfish? Yes. Its a friendly Giggs wouldn't play why should we?
VinRogue
This will give more time to get Pato, McCaan, and Jay rod Match fit.
Grimsby Claret
That would explain why Burley was sitting behind me at the Wigan game, then.
