Vital Burnley Prediction League-Sept 09 Update

It was another acceptable month for the Clarets on the pitch as we continued our 100% home record despite a few 'unfortunate` results on the road. The Prediction League saw a couple of new entrants join the league and also a number of people predicting just the occasional game. Why not play it all the time you could win up to 50?

The new leader is Programme Collector who picked up 5 points from the 2 home games that have been played since the last update (Sunderland and Birmingham). In contrast, early leader Grimsby Claret failed to collect any points from our two home games, which has seen a fall from top spot.

The current table is below (updated 04/10/09):

Any new members are welcome to enter and the Av. PPG will allow you to see how you are doing in relation to those who have been predicting from the start.

Remember, to win the prize at the end of the season, you have to have predicted at least 50% of our league fixtures.

The prediction table is formulated so if you think you should have more points than you have been given, please query it and we can look into it.

Keep the Predictions coming!

Correct Phil, It can all change very easily - If we have a bad patch I expect Crosspool to start charging up the table at a rapid rate!

I lost top spot because I didnt put faith in the lads, only putting them down for a draw at home serves me right. well done pc

It's a long season, and it'll be how people hold up over Christmas and January that could make all the difference.

I have done the same Grimsby - But I do not want to curse them! If I now predict a home win and we dont - It will be all my fault!

I thought I was an ever present so a bit surprised to see I have missed out on one game. Could we have a (nother) Steward's Enquiry ? Nevertheless, you don't win anything in October but some early pacemakers are starting to show now.

My error Rickers, I had missed your Birmingham prediction. I have now updated the table ( although it sadly doesnt increase your points!) :-)

Claretdale Sorry but you may need to relook at some of the results as according to my calculations (Yes I know I must be an anorak) there are at least 10 points totals wrong. I should have 7 points not 6 and I think Palsdad should be on 9, davemanu on 9 ruane on 6, saber30 on 6, ansdellclaret on 5 jiggerno 5 vinrouge 4 spaceman 4 crosspoolclarets 5.

Ok Acchio - I will have a look. It is possible the formulas are wrong. I will come back to it.

Acchio - I have just had a quick look at your scores and I agree you should have 7 points. Their must be a formula wrong somewhere. I will speak to my technical engineer ( the fiance) to rectify ASAP. Apologies All

For all of those who received the email from Phil today - please do feel free to contact me ( not abusively :-) ) If you feel the scores are wrong. I am working on it and have found a number to be incorrect. I am looking to rectify these ASAP - I am however trying to sort the formula so as not to do it manually every week!
