Clarets International-Bikey's Cameroon Call Up

Clarets International-Bikey's Cameroon Call Up

Cameroon coach Paul LeGuen has named a 22-man squad for their next two World Cup 2010 qualifiers against Gabon.

They will play them first away on September 5th and and then at home four days later.

Andre Bikey is one of the players named in the squad.

Cameroon are struggling to qualify at the moment with just one point from two games and are bottom of the African Group A table. They face a rampant Gabon who by contrast are sitting pretty at the top of the table with maximum points from two games. Togo in 2nd place on 4 points and Morocco in 3rd with 2 points are the other two sides in the group but they have both played a game more.

Bikey's call up means the Clarets will now have five players away during the International break with Martin Paterson (Northern Ireland) and Caldwell, Alexander and Fletcher (Scotland) also on duty for their National sides.

With Caldwell already injured and looking doubtful for Scotland, Bikey better come back uninjured and fighting fit

Yep this is the only problem with having international players but this is part and parcel of being in the top flight ;-)

It seems we will lose him for several weeks when the African nations Cup takes place.
