'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Burnley Top Club, Top Fans and Top of League

Your typical fanatical football supporter spends on average 15 hours a week on activities devoted to their favourite team.

However it turns out that Burnley fans, as it we didn't know it, put in far more hours and indeed lead the Fans Premier League table with 18 hours/week So we are better than Manchester United indeed any of the Top Five Premier League sides and far better than Blackburn!

The research was done by Virgin Money who surveyed 4000 football followers of the Premier League clubs.

The activity evaluated included getting to and watching football matches, watching TV highlights, visiting a club's website and talking about the club to other footy followers.

The Fans League Table in full looked like this:

Burnley 18.1 hours per week
Tottenham 17.9
Liverpool 17.8
Arsenal 17.7
Bolton 17.6
Man Utd 17.4
Chelsea 17.3
Man City 17
Everton 16.8
Blackburn 16.8
Aston Villa 16.7
Hull 15.8
Stoke City 15.6
Wigan 15.1
Birmingham 15.1
Fulham 15
Wolves 15
Sunderland 14.7
West Ham 14.7
Portsmouth 14.6

Hell I put in about 18 hours a day, never mind week!! But what do you put in? Why not complete our Poll on the front page and let us all know

They should do another one - how much time do you spend worrying about getting tickets, waiting in the ticket office phone queue or by the letter box waiting for tickets to arrive ?

I've been to the Brit and didn't find it that loud! Its got open sides so the nosie escapes. I think they'll get a shock at how loud it is at the Turf!
