'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Canaries Russell Burnley's Feathers!

Norwich manager, Brian Gunn has confirmed that they received a bid from Burnley last week for midfielder, Darel Russell but turned it down. They have left the door open though.

'We received a bid from Burnley last week, which we turned down and obviously Burnley at the moment are considering the situation,' said Gunn.

'They are on the other side of the world in America, but there is an opportunity for them, if they want, to come back to us and make an improved offer.'

The Clarets are thought to have offered around £500,000 for the 29 year old. That amount is actually lower than the bid they put in almost a year ago believed to be £750,000.

Things have changed in a year though, the Canaries have been relegated to League One and the Clarets promoted to the top flight. The player is now unsettled and whats to play in the Premier League despite interest from a number of Championship sides including local rivals, Preston.

Wonder if they will improve their offer, especially if they now sign Guerrero?

Still not sure that this guy is up to PL standard, and we should try and avoid jut chucking money around because we have it - we don't want to turn into Spurs now, do we?!

Talking of canaries, my best mate just got a new talking parrot. But he hasn't said anything yet. It's a gray parrot. So I reckon it'll fly away after about a year. I see Spurs got Kyle and Naughton.

Is it an ex-parrot? It has passed on, it is no more...

Is it called Kalvenes? Must be a Norwegian Blue! Aye they got Kyle & Naughton but they also got Kyle & Walker! We should get six points against Spurs then!! lol

Okay, okay, I meant Naughton and Walker, or whatever it is. The parrot was still alive last night. But, like Owen, still isn't saying much. If he had been listerning to Vital Burnely his first words would be 'Marcus Tudgay', 'Marcus Tudgay'. But he lives in an Arsenal house, so it will be 'no new signings', 'no new signings'.

I am suprised it's not 'Adebayor is a lazy ******** and thank gawd hes gone to City' :-)

I thought the Canaries were a holiday destination! Their defence certainly seemed to be on vacation most of last season.
