US Tour: VC Fusion 3am UK Time Kick-Off

The match will take place at the club's Bulldog Stadium on the campus of Buena Vista High School which can hold up to 8000 fans and about 1500-2000 are expected for the game tonight.

Ventura County Fusion were founded in 2006 and they currently play in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Southwest Division of the Western Conference. This League predominantly develops Under 23 players showing the most promise.

The team's colors are blue, orange and white.

The Fusion coach is former Colchester United player, Graham Smith.

The Clarets are likely once more to give all the players in the squad out in the US a chance to play and that means there could be club debuts for new signings, Brian Easton and Richard Eckersley.

Ecuador international Fernando Guerrero has joined the Clarets on trial in the US camp at the Oxnard Training centre and appears to have impressed the gaffer. It is thought providing the paper work is sorted, that he could feature against VC Fusion.

Guerrero is just 19 years old and came through Real Madrid's Academy often playing for their Reserve team, Real Madrid Castilla.

It has also been reported today that we have another trialist in the camp; an American-born defensive midfielder, thought to be Tony Odorisio.

The 24 year old signed a professional contract with FC KooTeePee of Kotka, Finland in the Finnish Premier Division in February 2008 having come through the ranks at Creighton Bluejay Athletics in the US.

Odorisio, a graduate of Omaha Skutt Catholic, played at Creighton from 2003-06. The Creighton Bluejays, or Jays, are the athletic teams (including soccer)of Creighton University, a Jesuit/Catholic University located in Omaha, Nebraska.

It remains to be seen whether he will play tonight.
