Two Trialists in Burnley US Camp

Ecuador international Fernando Guerrero has joined the Clarets on trial in the US camp at the Oxnard Training centre out in LA and appears to have impressed the gaffer. It is thought providing the paper work is sorted, that he could feature in our first match of the US Tour against VC Fusion to be played early Wednesday morning (ie UK time @ 3am)

Guerrero is just 19 years old and came through Real Madrid's Academy often playing for their Reserve team, Real Madrid Castilla.

However it is also reported that we have another trialist in the camp; an American-born defensive midfielder, thought to be Tony Odorisio.

The 24 year old signed a professional contract with FC KooTeePee of Kotka, Finland in the Finnish Premier Division in February 2008 having come through the ranks at Creighton Bluejay Athletics in the US.

Odorisio, a graduate of Omaha Skutt Catholic, played at Creighton from 2003-06. The Creighton Bluejays, or Jays, are the athletic teams (including soccer)of Creighton University, a Jesuit/Catholic University located in Omaha, Nebraska.

Wonder if both will feature tonight? Another reason to perhaps try and stay up and listen to the audio broadcast

Hi turfmanphil it's great to be back and really fantastic that the board has a load of new members. KooTeePee of Kotka, I bet that rolled nicely off the tongue for team songs at matches! Any history of appearances etc turfman?

was thinking the same about TeePee acchio! :-) Interesting to have a look at a few players - Always wonder about bringing players from abroad how they will settle - Our record isnt great so far, VDS, Penny, Bes . . . Have we had many succesful imports? maybe Arthur?
