It is now official that Burnley FC will enjoy more than one season in the top flight after promotion to the Premier League in 2008/9.
How can we be certain? It's predicted in the stars!
Vital Burnley have been contacted by psychic celebrity, Dean 'Midas' Maynard wishing Burnley FC well and predicting that the Clarets will stay up in their first season in the top flight since 1976.
He was right last season in predicting that Stoke would stay up although I must ask him what he predicted for Hull and the three relegated sides.
Now some of you may be sceptical but who cares I like our Midas already but if he is wrong, we will be contacting him in May 2010 I'm sure!
Here is the email he sent to the site:
Hi Phil,
I'm the psychic who had the piece in the Burnley Express advising you would survive next season and I just wanted to wish you and the club all the luck in the world for next season
Good Luck and here's to looking forward to another season in the Premiership this time next season.

So all the reason we never gained promotion to the elite league before is that it wasn't writtten in the stars. Oh and we will stay up because its witten in the stars nothing to do with the fact that we will be playing some brilliant football again.
I shouldn't mock I have rituals I go through every game we play and have to wear certain clothes!!!
