US Tour-Audio Broadcast for Ventura Match

The Clarets embark on their US Tour today (Thursday 16th July) flying out to California

First the good news!

We have been contacted by Danny Page of 'Broadcasting for Home Field Sports' informing us that there will be a live audio broadcast for the friendly game against Ventura County Fusion, the first on our US Tour on Tuesday 21st July next week.

Here is his email in full with details of the live braodcast:

To whom it may concern;

My name is Danny Page and I'm the Director of Broadcasting for Home Field Sports, we'll be streaming a live broadcast of next Tuesday's friendly between Burnley FC and the Ventura County Fusion.

The audio-only broadcast will be carried on HomeFieldSports.com. As the voice of the Fusion, I'll handle the play-by-play and Burnley FC Communications manager Darren Bentley will serve as my co-commentator.

Perhaps you could post something on your site mentioning this, here's the info for the game;

Burnley FC vs. Ventura County Fusion
Tuesday, July 21 7:00PM kickoff PDT
Broadcast live on www.HomeFieldSports.com
Coverage starts at 2:30 AM GMT(UK TIME)
Game will be archived immediately following in .mp3 format

Let me know if you need any further information.

The bad news of course is that the West Coast are 8 hours behind the UK, so you will need to have the matchsticks available to keep awake, unless of course you want to close them and just listen running the risk of falling asleep!

The match will be on air from 3am UK time,ouch! Still we are Burnley, we can do it!

I'll certainly be lying down for this one, and very probably asleep. But Turfman, can't you capture the signal and make it available for later listening on Vital... what's that new thing, AudioBoo or some such, that now allows a sort-of sound-only YouTube. What do you mean you can't get this sorted in 5 days and the broadcast is probably copyright? :)

They do say they will be archiving the broadcast as mp3. so I guess all we need is a player that plays mp3!!

I just thought what a good do its on mp3 i can listen to it when i get up :-) then thought what are the chances of getting that mp3 without seeing the score pretty much nil chance :-( tmp? you do know most players play mp3 or have i lost the plot lol

Cheers know about most sound formats but never realised the difference between mp3 and 4 so ta! Used to be a pioneer on Napster when they used to have free downloads before they got attacked by the music industry. Never really got into iPods and the like since though

Think it will be entertaining actually with Daz and Danny trying to come to terms with this so-called common language we share, especially in terms of footballing terms. Gonna try & stay up for it. You can always d/l the mp3 after if you are easy missing out on the game live

Guys you don't have to stay up just get the mp3 and listen in your leisure :-) avoiding the score thats another matter :-) we are struggling to get any commentary ie Bradford,Morecame it was good of them to let us know! fair play

Yes turfman, this 'so-called common language that we share' (d/l the mp3, mp4, AudioBoo, Napster, iPOD, etc) is quite difficult to come to terms with!
