More Rumours from the Mill-Sunny Side Down

Last week the Clarets were linked with a season-long loan move for Valencia midfielder Stephen Sunday. The 20-year-old Nigerian born Spanish Under 21 International though now looks set to be joining Real Betis on loan instead.

According to Sunday's agent, Rodrigo Fernández the player known to his mates as Sunny will be having a medical with Real Betis tomorrow. It would appear Burnley's interest came after a deal with Real Betis had already been agreed 10 days ago.

Sunday was on loan to Real Betis last season and the club are hoping a season-long deal in 2009/10 could lead to a possible four-year permanent move at the end of next season.

Oh well it looks like Turf Moor will not now be seeing Sunny times but at least we can perhaps be looking forward to some Easton Promise (Sorry statement nicked from one of our posters!!)

Wasn't particularly excited about this one anyway and I did see reports at the time that he had already agreed to join Real Betis so not surprised at all by this news
