The Clarets embark on their first match today since defeating Sheffield United at Wembley back in May in the Championship Play-Offs Final and earning promotion to the top flight for the first time since 1976.
Yes, it's the pre-season friendlies already and in the Coral Windows stadium (aka Valley Parade) at 3pm today the Clarets will take the field to play League 2 side, Bradford City.
This will be the third pre-season running that we will have played the Bantams over the Pennines but this will be the first opportunity to see how well we are faring as we prepare for our first season in the Premier League.
Most Clarets fans taking the journey into Yorkshire will be mainly hoping to see our new signings and find out how well they are slotting into the side.
Owen Coyle will no doubt give the whole of his squad a run out at some point during the game but all eyes will be on the new boys, Tyrone Mears, Steven Fletcher and David Edgar.
Could there also be a few surprises and might we see some triallists? Who knows!
We also have of course five young new professionals who have come up through the youth scheme. Will we see any of them also given a run out? A number of Clarets fans I am sure will be keen to see in particular how hotshot, young Wes Fletcher is coming along and see how close he might be to making his full debut for the Clarets in the first team this season in one of the toughest Leagues in Europe!
Vital Burnley will bring you news of the teams, goals and action in this match as soon as we get any information.
