The Burnley Supporters Team now have two internationals in their squad.
At the end of July, the IFA Worldnet tournament hosts the supporters England vs Scotland game.
Last month Clarets BST goalkeeper and captain Will O'Neill was called up to the Scotland squad. And now coming up against him will be Clarets striker Ric Davies.
Davies scored 35 goals last season, the last coming before Steve Cowell, member of the England management team, at the National Football Museum Tournament in Preston.
(Editors note: Steve Cowell ? Must be a case of BST's got Talent!! Ill get my coat)
The two will now be going head to head for the bragging rights in the Clarets camp.
Worldnet organiser John Boocock said:
"This is tournament 13 and will see our greatest ever number of participants. We are really pleased to have the involvement of the FSF in real grass roots football played by real football fans.Internet Football is not just about winning, it's about building bridges between rival groups of supporters and this tournament is the epitome of that sentiment."
Why not Sponsor the BST this season?
Vital Burnley have for some time been sponsoring BST and we will be doing so again this season. You can see our clickable logo supporting their Thousands campaign and we also sponsored a player and their Chief Executive, Kev Robinson last season.
We will announce soon our new sponsorship deal with BST but you will be seeing a much bigger and better banner on the Thousands site in due course based on the new logo that is currently being developed for the site as part of new Vital Netwrok site re-launch.Watch this Space or at least the one on Thousands!
BST raise money for good Clarets causes and they support the club's Youth Foundation scheme so we hope out money helps go towards that.
Vital Burnley have also been provided with some more information from BST about their sponsorship scheme so if you would like to sponsor them here are the details.
BST Sponsorship Scheme 2009/10 by Kev Robinson
Prior to the 2008/09 season we introduced our player sponsorship scheme, allowing individuals, groups and businesses to sponsor a player, having their name displayed next to the player`s stats on our website. This went down a storm, with the whole team being sponsored within a month of the scheme launching. The money raised through this was split between ourselves and youth development at Turf Moor and was greatly received and put to good use by both parties.
We will be continuing the scheme into the 2009/10 season with numerous enhancements.
The player sponsorship scheme 2009/10 has the following features:
•Open to anybody- individuals, businesses, supporters groups
•Your name displayed proudly in the Player Stats section of the site
•If you have a website, we can provide a link to it
•25% of all funds donated to youth development at Turf Moor
•Your name in the forum signature of your sponsored player
•Your name proudly displayed on our main page
•Discount of 15% on out Thousands scheme
•Press opportunities
•Regular updates on your player`s performances
We are absolutely happy to work with you and meet your requirements. The package costs just £20 for the whole season. For more information, contact Kev Robinson at the link- click here-->
