Fabrice Pancrate`s trial at Burnley appears to have ended before it began
The former Paris St Germain winger now a free agent said he could not take part in a Clarets training session for insurance reasons!
Oh for heavens sake man!!
Meanwhile,Burnley manager Owen Coyle is pondering whether to make another offer for Hamilton Academicals full-back Brian Easton.
The Accies have already turned down an offer from the Clarets for the 21 year old, with reports suggesting the figure was £300,000 plus appearance-based incentives.
Coyle told the Lancashire Telegraph:
'We made an offer the other day, which was rejected, and that's where we are at the moment.I'm not saying there might not be further dialogue, but I thought we made a fair offer. I understand where Hamilton are coming from because they have invested in their youth policy, plus they are reluctant to lose the lad anyway. He's a young player with a big future, but everyone has their price. They're within their rights to think of their own valuation, but ultimately we have to reach an agreement and we've not been able to do that yet. We might look to make it more appealing.'
It is also reported today that Wigan have entered the race to sign the young talent while Championship sides Ipswich and Derby have also been linked.
One player who doesn't look like he's coming to Turf Moor is Swansea striker Jason Scotland.Swansea have agreed a fee of around £2m to sell him to Wigan, the transfer subject to personal terms and a work permit being sorted. The 30-year-old Trinidad and Tobago international has been in Wigan today to undergo a medical.
The Marcus Tudgay saga continues today in stalemate with the player and his agent wanting talks with Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday ignoring appeals to negotiate further. It is doubtful that anything will progress on this one in the near future. According to the Sun today though,Sheffield Wednesday striker Marcus Tudgay has pleaded with the Owls to let him talk to Burnley.
