Young MacDonald Has a Loan (EIEIO)

It can now be confirmed that Alex MacDonald has indeed signed for Falkirk on loan until January 2010 following speculation yesterday.

Owen Coyle said of the move:

'Alex is a player of huge talent. We have already seen what he is capable of, but going on loan to Falkirk for six-months will give him a lot of experience, similar to when Jay Rodriguez had a spell with Stirling Albion in the 2007/08 season.I am sure he will come back an even better player.'

MacDonald will link up with the SPL club next week, following the weekend game at Bradford City.

The 19-year old could make his debut in the Bairn's Europa Cup tie with FC Vaduz next week.

The Scottish Under 19 International and captain made six substitute appearances for the Clarets last season with his last appearance being in the 3-0 FA Cup defeat away at Arsenal in March 2009.

This will be excellent experience for young Alex who you have to admit is not proabably yet ready to play at Premier League level.

He's a top lad and a very good player, I think he will be a success up there and also back down here later.
