Burnley X-Files: No Hyde-ing Place in Barnet

Barnet have signed Jamaican international and former Clarets midfielder Micah Hyde on a one year deal.

Hyde played for Cambridge United and Watford, before being signed by Steve Cotterill in his first season in charge at Burnley in 2004.

In January 2007, he moved to Peterborough United for an initial fee of £75,000 plus an extra £25,000 if Peterborough were promoted in that season.

Hyde had his contract cancelled by mutual consent though after rejecting loan moves to Barnet, Notts County and Stevenage Borough.

He later signed a contract with Woking until the end of the 2008-09 season after failing to convince Gillingham he was worth a punt in Janaury 2008 following a trial!

Woking released Hyde following their relegation. Hyde now 34 is seen as Barnet's replacement for the departed Neal Bishop and he is expected to make his Bees debut at Dover in a friendly on Saturday.

Barnet are currently playing in Coca Cola Football League Two after a season where they turned round the threat of relegation finishing a respectable 12th.

Most Clarets fans will remember Micah Hyde for one particular goal, that one against Blackburn Rovers in the cup.

Here it is in Japanese or is it Chinese?

Gutted i couldnt get a ticket for that game - but what a goal! I liked Micah, but think we did well to get what we did for him when we did. Good Luck Micah.
