Rumour Mill: Did We Do Dossevi?

Both Wigan Athletic and the Clarets have been linked with 30-year old Togo international striker,Thomas Dossevi.

FC Nantes striker, Dossevi speaking to skysports.com said:

'I definitely fancy a move to the Premier League, that is the top league at the moment. I will go there if there is an understanding with my club. I have one year left on my contract.'

Nantes suffered relegation to the French Ligue 2 at the end of last season and the striker looks keen to move on.

The forward, who can also play in midfield is a naturalized Togolese although he was born in Chambray-lès-Tours, France. He has 12 caps having scored one goal for the Togo National Team.

He started his career with ASOA Valence and played for a number of clubs including
LB Châteauroux, Stade Reims and Valenciennes
before joining FC Nantes in 2007. He is not a particular prolific goalscorer though having hit the back of the net just 6 times in 31 games for FC Nantes.

Not quite sure if the rumour is true what Owen Coyle sees in this player and it just seems like the latest strange rumour in a continual bizarre sequence of links to players from the Continent.

Its really weird where some of them come from. They must just get a pin stuck in a group of teams at side and decide to link a player ( watch this one be true now! :-))
