'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Mum, We Are On the Telly!

Sky Sports today announced two games that they will now feature live this season involving the Clarets.

Sky cameras will be at Turf Moor on Saturday 19th Septemebr to feature our home game against Sunderland which will now kick off at 12:45pm.

They have also decided to cover the big one against our local rivals, Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park which will now be played on Sunday 18th October with the kick-off for that match 1pm.

ESPN, who have taken over the Premier League rights from the troubled Setanta have also announced they will cover the match at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea on Saturday 29th August with the kick-off of 12:45pm. No doubt ESPN and all the neutral fans will be hoping that the Clarets can once more cause a sensation and beat the Blues on their home soil following last season's victory in the Carling Cup.

All Clarets fans will now be busy adjusting their calendars and ripping up their fixture lists as life in the Premier League becomes a realisation!

Just shows how we are beholden to the TV companies, at least this time we have been given fair notice but I wonder how many will now not be able to go to the Man U match at the Turf which has been put back a day because of the Red Devils previous game being televised now on the Sunday

My other half has her birthday on the day of the Sunderland game. Not sure how she will feel about festivities being postponed due to an early kick off. Well, I am actually - don't think I'll mention it just yet.
