Tuesday's Rumour Mill About  A Sunday Loan!

According to the Mirror it would appear the Clarets are looking to sign Valencia's Spain Under-21 midfielder Stephen Sunday on a season-long loan although they may also face competition from Real Betis.



It is reported that the 20-year old Lagos born star is due in for talks and a fitness test at Turf Moor.

The defensive midfielder, known as Sunny to his mates began his career in Nigeria with FC Ebedei and Jegede Babes. He then signed a five-year-contract with Polideportivo Ejido, in the Spanish second division in 2005

Sunny became a regular player for Ejido, making 63 league appearances between 2005 and 2007 before signing for Valencia CF in 2007.

He was hardly ever selected to play though and found himself loaned out to CA Osasuna after one season.

Sunday was linked with a move to Portsmouth in January 2009 but the deal eventually collapsed due to financial complications.

After another poor individual season in which is also suffered an injury it was thought he would join Real Betis for a season-long long with a view to a possible four-year permanent move at the season's end.

If the rumours are true though Sunday might be tempted instead to move to Burnley on loan if it means playing in the Premier League.

Maybe we should start making up our own rumours? How about Little and Traore coming on frees? Or Gary and Steven Caldwell swapping clubs without anyone noticing? Or Jordan going back to Man City for £50million because the owner said he wanted to buy Jordan, but no-one told Hughes that he meant the country?

8clarets8, Yep he was nothing more then a pub player at best!!! Souness signed him because an imposter pretending to be George Weah gave him a recommendation!!! Tho I do think Coyle is slightly more bright then Souness. Turf for sure every team is linked to strange players but for some reason when in the PL it just gets more bizarre!! I mean some of the clowns we've been linked with are just beyond belief!
