Fletcher speaking to the Official Site about the move said:

"I am absolutely delighted to sign for the club. It is a great feeling to be here and I am just looking forward to getting the season started now.As soon as I heard that Burnley were after me, and knowing Owen Coyle as I do from my time in Scotland, I thought this was the right place to come and develop my career. The opportunity came long in January for me to join Celtic, but Hibs did not think it was the right time to move on.When the chance arrived to come to the Premier League and play for a club like Burley, I was glad they accepted that and let me come down.I have wanted to come to England for a while now to show people what I can do and I am so looking forward to it.I want to give 100 per cent and score goals and hopefully I can do that."

Very excited by this signing and it shows we mean business after forking out a cool £3m about £1.5 more than Paterson & Eagles deals

Someone pinch me...this lad was linked with Real Madrid!!! What a start to the transfer window!!!

I was a bit slow on this one ;-) What a signing! This just shows the ambition we have into not being one season wonders! great news up the Clarets

This was the best news we could have had. After all the strikers we have been linked to, this lad was the one that I wanted. Young with real Pace. We know have a strike force of Pato, Jayrod, Fletch and Thompson with more to come. Not forgetting Wes Fletcher too from the reserves he was banging them in for fun in reserve league last year. We could do with a big lad but I trust OC

Agree with all the comments above, Doyle to Woles for a reported 6.5 Million makes this a steal of a signing, OC is an inspirational manager and it will be 2 seasons before I dare question his judgement on anything!

Not sure young Jay is in the same sort of league as this lad. Seen him in action a couple of times and he looks top notch. Boosts the Scottish scene at the Turf - hard-working, common sense background and a bit of fire in his belly too.

Tmp, can you set up a place on the site to monitor pledges such as that made by VinRouge? :) But I completely agree with VR's comments on Doyle and Steven Fletcher. Anyway, how are we going to distinguish between the two Fletches when we are talking or posting? Any suggestions? And does anyone think we will see them on the pitch at the same time? I would expect JayRod to learn from this increased competition. More than anything I am very impressed by the speed at which the club has moved over the last few weeks.

Don't mean to rain on the parade of your record signing but with a goal ratio of only 1 in almost 4 games in the SPL I am a little concerned about his ability to cut it in the premier league.
