'If It's Football, It's Vital'

And the New Celtic Boss is.......Tony Mowbray

Celtic have confirmed Tony Mowbray as their new manager today after they agreed to pay West Brom £2m in compensation at the weekend.

Mowbray will speak at a media conference tomorrow at 10am (Wed 17th June) and brings with him his former backroom staff at West Brom including assistant Mark Venus and first-team coach Peter Grant.

This will be a huge relief to Clarets fans who were always nervous that Owen Coyle, one of Celtic's targets, could have been tempted away to manage the SPL side.

Coyle said recently:

'All I would say is the same I have said from day one; I am fully committed to the job in hand at Burnley Football Club.We have an unbelievable adventure ahead of us and we want to make sure that when the season kicks off we do our ultimate to stay in the best division in the world.I am so excited at the challenge and prospect of pitting our Burnley side against the best.'

These were fine words but they still didn't quell the fears in the hearts and minds of some Clarets fans. Now we can all relax and look forward to seeing Coyle plot the Clarets survival in the top flight next season and hopefully establish the side in the Premier League for many seasons to come.

According to BBC Sport, Celtic never officially approached Burnley FC being put off by Burnley's compensation demand but whatever the truth Owen Coyle is Still God at Turf Moor

I think Coyle was third choice for Celtic after Mowbray and Roy Keane. Hres hoping he has a great season next year.
