'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Away the Lads!

The Clarets will wear their blue away strip at Wembley in the Spring Bank Holiday Monday Championship play off final against Sheffield United on the 25th May.

A traditional toss was held to designate who would be the official 'home' team and who the 'away' side

The Blades won that toss so they will now be allocated the 'home' dressing room and will wear their home kit of red&white striped shirts.

Owen Coyle's lads will therefore be wearing blue shirts, with claret shorts and blue socks.

That will hopefully be the only thing that Sheffield United will win!

I dont think to be honest the home shirt would have clashed with the Blades Red&White Stripes but not really fussed what kit we play in providing we win

We played in claret at the Lane - A little bit odd they make us change for this!

Thought so Dale, didn't go to that match though! Looks like yet another daft rule with no flexibility. To be honest unless there is a clash, since both teams are going to an 'away' ground why not both play in away kits?
turfmanphil
No wonder they won the toss as the manager and team are a load of tossers.

Pity Colin still isn't in charge it would have been the perfect fit!!

If we don't play in Claret and Blue...and win....they won't be able to sue us as they won't mistake us for West Ham !!
