Coppell Gets on His Bikey!!

Coppell Gets on His Bikey!!

Reading defender, Andre Bikey will be regreting his antics following his sending-off for stamping on Robbie Blake in last Saturday's first leg play-offs match.

The foul occured right in front of the referee who had no option but to show the red card. What followed next though was nothing short of disgraceful after Bikey saw the red mist descend. In a tantrum, he took off his shirt in a rage, chucked it to the floor and stormed off the pitch like a raging bull being escorted by Royals keeper, Marcus Hahnemann.

It was a bad day for Bikey as he had also conceded a penalty that led to the Clarets 1-0 victory after pulling back Thompson in the area by his shirt.

Boy,is he now in serious trouble though!

It was announced earlier today that he will serve a four-game suspension since it is his second straight red card for violent conduct this season so he will serve one more than the usual three-game suspension. The ban will carry over into the 2009/10 season. The FA could even decide to punish him further because of the tantrum and shirt chucking.

The situation though has now got even worse for the 24 year old Cameroon International

Bikey has now been given a two-week fine and warned by Royals gaffer, Steve Coppell about his future conduct.

Coppell said after the match:

'I have no reservations whatsoever with the red card. There is no place for that in football and he got 100% what he deserved'

Royals chairman Sir John Madejski told the local Evening Post:

"It was ridiculous, totally indefensible. We repudiate it. I certainly do as chairman. It`s not my position to speak to him. That is the manager`s, but there is no excuse for that kind of behaviour and he will be disciplined in the way you`d expect."

Well serves him right and at least he will be suspended for the second leg against us on Tuesday night

Silly twerp, just cant understand how he could react that way after such a blatant stamping on Blake! Looks like he is going to get what he deserves and all credit to the Royals for disciplining the idiot

What about an apology to Blake for stamping on him.

Good point, but if he doesn't then it will be compensation if Blake gets a goal or two in the second leg!!
