Current members of London Clarets will also soon be seeing our 'Hit the Site, Help the Club' promotion in the next edition of the London Clarets magazine based on the following press release

Vital Burnley-Hit the Site, Help the Club Campaign
Two Board Members of Clarets Trust, Martin Barnes and Phil Lea, have gone into partnership based on their Clarets website and fanzine interests to raise funds for the Trust to buy Burnley FC shares. Phil is also editor of a Clarets website (Vital Burnley) and Martin runs the When the Ball Moves... fanzine. Martin for sometime has wanted an additional online fanzine for WTBM... and this has now been achieved by Vital Burnley hosting their forum & facilities.
Vital Burnley however also makes money depending on the total site hits they receive and both partners have now agreed to donate a minimum of 50% of all profits to Clarets Trust. The site hits currently guarantee that the Trust will receive a minimum of £200/year enough to buy one Burnley FC share but the more folk that use the site and the joint facilities the more that extra money will be raised for Clarets Trust and the more Burnley FC will benefit through the Trust purchasing shares. Both partners are delighted to announce they have already raised £400 and as you can see from the photograph they have now donated some of the money to Clarets Trust already to buy one Burnley FC share.
Clive Holt, Burnley FC Director and Clarets Trust Life Member received the cheque on behalf of the Club and said:
'I must also thank the Trust for their continued purchase of club shares, which helps to strengthen the club and give the Trust both weight and a voice of authority.'
Clarets Trust chairman, Peter Pike said of the initiative:
'I welcome this initiative by two members of the Trust It gives all Clarets fans who use the internet a good way of helping the Club without costing them a penny Well done Phil and Barnsey'
