The majority of Clarets fans got their wish tonight after the Gunners defeated the Bluebirds 4-0 at the Emirates in their FA Cup 4th Round replay.
A brace of goals by Eduardo almost a year after breaking his leg contributed to the Gunners comprehensive win.
Eduardo opened the scoring after heading in Carlos Vela's cross on 20 minutes
Nicklas Bendtner doubled the lead from a Samir Nasri corner 14 minutes later.
Arsenal led 2-0 at half-time
In the second half on the hour mark, Eduardo was brought down by Gavin Rae in the area and the Croatian took the penalty himself to get the second of his brace.
Robin Van Persie got the fourth goal in the final minute of the match.
Burnley now face a fifth round match in London with Arsenal due to play the Clarets at the Emirates on either Saturday 7th March or Sunday 8th March.
This is a juicy and lucrative tie for the Clarets and one that will give Burnley fans the chance to visit a new stadium for the first time.
Burnley have already defeated the Young Gunners this season at Turf Moor in the Carling Cup but this FA Cup game will be a different kettle of fish with Arsenal likely to field a full-strength side. It may look an awesome task to progress further in the competition now but with scalps of Premier League sides now littering the trophy room at Turf Moor, there is still all to play for and I am sure the Clarets will do us all proud no matter what the final result.
The winners of the match will play either Premier League side, Hull City or Championship rivals, Sheffield United in the FA Cup Quarter Final depending on which of these teams can win their 5th round replay at the KC Stadium on the Thursday night of February 26th Febraury.
