Match ON following Pitch Inspection

We are OK chaps its on as long the rain keeps away! Official Site states:

Following a pitch inspection at 4.00pm at Turf Moor by the referee, the surface has been deemed playable for Tuesday evening's game with Southampton.

The pitch covers will be removed at 6.00pm and with the rain forecast to recede around this time, the game will hopefully go ahead.

Not the best time for Soton fans. Really hope this goes ahead, as we have some momentum after Friday. Its one of the few games I can actually get to, as I have been busy recently, so hope the rain goes.

This game needs playing. It was initially pencilled in for last month wasnt it? There arent too many dates left when it could be rescuduled for. I have my ticket, and will check this site anxiously between four and half past to see if its on.

I am more concerned that we will lose momentum if this game is not played tonight. Its an ideal time to play the Saints with our tails up and their's down!

Can't make this match, though I hope it isnt called off. Needs to be played really. I think its one we could win as well giving Southampton's predicament at the moment in time. A bit of rain and mud never hurt anyone. Miss the 90s when they played in all sorts of conditions, happy days! Anyone else feel like that?

Typical Burnley weather. Hope this one goes ahead, as Southampton are there for the taking. Should be a good open game, and the conditions can lead to the game being a bit more open, with the unpredictability of the pitch, and mistakes made.

the mistakes hopefully coming from the men in stripes :P

I can remember a time in the 60s-70s when they would have played in ice and snow! Load of wimps these days and its all about insurance, over zealous safety regulations and the compensation culture!
