Family of Clarets Announcement

Joint Statement by Family of Clarets and Burnley Ultras

As you are aware, Burnley Ultras were originally part of the Family of Clarets.

Sadly due to online website rivalry across Clarets websites, it is clear problems could arise that could have a detrimental effect on this great cause being progressed by Burnley Ultras and its efforts to put across its messages on all Claret websites.

Family of Clarets thoroughly understand the position and are sad to see Burnley Ultras feel the need to formally leave the FoC. We wish all Claret fans to be aware that there is no ill feeling about this between the two groups. FoC will continue to recommend Burnley Ultras in its promotional activity making it clear they are not officially part of the Family. The forum section on Up the Clarets will remain so that the posters on that site can put across Ultras issues whilst the organisers of Ultras can respond and make announcements as they would on all other Clarets message boards.

How many fingers do you have to have to join this family?
TheGhost
Well some would say its not the fingers but the pies they are groping around in, but I can take it, Im just a Claret with a passionate mission to eventually get us all speaking with one voice without the need for petty website squabbles that cause the sort of thing mentioned above'
turfmanphil
I don't know about fingers but if you take your team's first 4 letters and BURN your differences for the sake of a new TURF...

Perhaps this site with its forum could become a place for all Clarets to meet and chew the fat without any rancour?
AC
It would be nirvana to have one Clarets site that encompasses Clarets Mad, The Longside, Claret Flag and Family of Clarets sites but it just aint ever gonna happen sadly! Too many hidden agendas and online battles. Is it just Burnley FC or do other clubs have this website rivalry brodering on vindictiveness and bitterness?
turfmanphil
pompeygray, you ever thought of a career in stand-up?
moko84
What hidden agendas are there though I don't believe any exist?
PlymouthClaret
You have to feel the brunt of hidden agendas to understand them! A little bit of detective work about folk who are somewhat nasty to you can reveal certain trends!
turfmanphil
Many thanks also to Burnley Ultras for taking our Vital Burnley FC RSS feed, I will discuss with Vital to see if we can reciprocate in anyway or at least put up a more prominent link to their site on front page
